MagIXimous

2024 is here, and nine days in I’d like to take a snapshot, a “State of MagIXimous” sort of thing.

It’s pretty simple, really… nothing doing. No traffic, no new art or stories, plenty of declarations made but no follow through. Lots of potential. Essentially a blank canvas but no marks made. I think it’s coming from wanting to make the “right” first move or something. A shot heard ’round the world, in my grandest delusions. Planting my flag! Gotta let that go. Starting with a BANG has never really been my thing.

Another thing I’ve been doing a lot with my creative and recreational endeavors in recent years… trying to commit to a formula. Drawing, writing, playing games, even watching shows and movies. Finding “the right” order, waiting for “the right” time, doing things “the right” way rather than just MINE. Which defeats the purpose of MagIXimous in the first place! This isn’t to say I don’t want to apply some discipline, vision and order, just not at the cost of having fun.

That’s really it when I think about it. This website has been no fun so far. So I’m going to go get my groove back, and bring it back here once reacquired.
